Oftentimes, we are saddled with responsibilities that take up our time and energy. The week is swamped with office work and activities, family, courses, running a business, and juggling two or more side jobs.
This leaves us with little or no time to rest. Sometimes, all we need are some self-care tips to incorporate into the busy week. Self-care is the practice of caring for oneself. This can be achieved through different means. Most importantly, take action in caring for your spirit, soul, and body.

Eat Healthy Meals
Food should be a pleasure, and buying more of the right foods and ingredients makes it easier to follow a healthy diet. A belly filled with a sumptuous meal keeps you active and happy. If there’s one thing you should spend your money on, this is one.
Take time to rest
Your body is more productive when you are well-rested. Sometimes, you need to take a break in the middle of work, and rest when you feel saturated. A 15 minutes nap might be all you need to come back refreshed and active. When planning out your daily routine, find a consistent time to rest.
Invest in your skin
Investing in quality products for your skin early in life is one of the best things you can ever do. Mind you, I’m not talking about buying body creams with different chemicals that can damage your skin. Out of your busy schedule, you can spend some time caring for your hair, your face, and your body. Skin products like cleansers, moisturizers, and SPF to protect against the sun are essential in caring for the skin.
Listen to music, audiobooks, or podcast
It isn’t fun to be under a lot of pressure, stressed daily, and slammed with work. You need a breather and this is what good music brings. You can listen to music, audiobooks, and the podcast while walking, in the gym, on your way to work, and during a short break from work. I sometimes listen to a funny podcast simply because I need a good laugh. All of these help in relieving stress and giving you a more productive week
Spend time with people of like minds
I cannot but stress the importance of friends. From the good to the bad and sometimes the ugly, your friends are involved in all phases. As much as possible, you want to keep friends you can be real with. You might just need an encouraging word from a friend to help you through the day.

Do something you enjoy
The whole essence of self-care lies in protecting your well-being and happiness. You ask yourself “what makes me happy?” . You love your job, that’s perfect. However, indulging in other activities you find enjoyable is highly satisfying. It could be volunteering, a love for reading, a love for writing, or sometimes home interiors.
